Q: Will the bacteria/microbes in the products make me sick?
A: No. The microbes are “non-pathogenic” which means they will not cause disease or illness.
Q: Do all the bioremediation products have microbes?
A: No. We do have some products that contain only enzymes, some only nutrients (for microbes), and some only plant extracts.
Q: Do all microbes secrete enzymes?
A: The microbes we use have been selected because they secrete enzymes outside the cell. Some microbes are known not to secrete outside the cell, and those would not serve our purpose as much.
Q: I heard all enzymes do is liquefy oils and grease and send it down stream to solidify on someone else’s turf. Isn’t that bad?
A: Enzymes actually break up large molecules into smaller molecules to an extent where they cannot reform. All organisms rely on enzymes; therefore, enzymes are not “bad”. This process makes it easier for our microbes to eat the grease, and if by chance they did flow into some else’s turf they would continue eating until all the grease was consumed.
Q: Will microbes add to the waste matter?
A: Microbes go through a cycle. They metabolize/secrete enzymes, reproduce, and die. Dead microbes naturally decay and will not add to the organic waste problem.
Q: Will the microbes escape out of the grease trap/sewer line?
A: If there are no leaks or spills, the microbes will stay in the grease trap and sewer system. If there is a spill, these microbes are naturally occurring and should not have any adverse affects.
Q: There are excessive straws, rags, and other trash in my grease trap. Does Bio-Solutions have products to reduce those?
A: Bio-Remediation, for our purposes, only applies to organic wastes; we do manufacture automatic grease traps, BioExtractors, which intercepts all inorganics and bulky organic sediment entering the device. These inorganic materials can be removed and disposed of in your regular trash. Additionally the Bio Extractors also remove oils from the waste stream and the microbes dissolve any remaining organics. So BioExtractors isolate solids and inorganic materials, removes oils and bioremediates organics, a complete system for keeping your facility odor free and clean. We can supply drain nets (socks) to keep trash from entering the grease trap through the floor drains. We would advise facility management to strongly discourage using the drains as a trash disposal.
Q: How do I maintain or clean your Bio Extractors?
A: Our professional service personnel maintain BioExtractors. Our service person will visit your facility, usually weekly, to add bacteria and remove any accumulated solid waste and oils. There is no need for the traditional pumping to remove these waste materials.

Q: Are these cleaning products safe around house plants, shrubs, and trees?
A: Our cleaning products are environmentally friendly and pose no threat to flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. Overspray from cleaning homes, sidewalks, and driveways should not damage foliage.
Q: I have small pets, both indoor and outdoor. I would like to try your floor soap, as well as your available exterior cleaners. Would this be safe for my pets?
A: Our cleaners contain no caustic chemicals or other substances that may harm pets or humans. You can use our products without worrying about causing damage to your pets or their environment.
Q: I am in need of steam cleaning my carpets, but because of my allergies, which flare at any scented cleaner, many leading brands are out of the question. How does your carpet cleaner effect allergies?
A: Our products contain no allergens or scents, allowing people with very sensitive allergies to get a deep satisfaction with Bio-Solutions Cleaning Products.
Q: Does the floor soap contain bacteria?
A: No, it contains enzymes.
Q: What is NSF?
A: National Safety Foundation. Companies can voluntarily register products for use in and around food areas that used to fall under USDA regulations.
Q: What makes the soap dry fast?
A: Oxygen releasing components allow for fast drying.
Q: Will the soap disinfect?
A: Technically, the soap is not classified as a disinfectant but it will hinder the growth of anaerobic pathogens.
Q: I have recently ordered floor soap from you. I left the box open and the soap was exposed to humidity and has clumped. Does this take away the effectiveness of the floor soap?
A: Over time, after the floor soap has clumped, the drying time will lengthen and ingredients will start to deteriorate. You can still use the soap, it just will not be as effective as a fresh “un-clumped” batch.
Q: How does the soap kill/prevent insect infestations?
A: The soap is not an insecticide; however, its ability to release oxygen and degrade waste matter will hinder and often kill certain insects on contact.
