Natural microorganisms, enzymes, and natural biodegradable cleaners give Bio-Solutions the ability to develop innovative and environmentally sound products that safely degrade pollutants, reduce organic wastes, and clean surfaces. Products are developed to help reduce impact on the environment, reuse, and supply value-added products, and help businesses and municipalities meet and stay within environmental laws and regulations. Bio-Solutions will continue to strive to provide services and products that improve the environment while providing economic and aesthetic benefits to our customers, clients, and the community.

One of the first areas Bio-Solutions began was in bioremediation treatment of restaurant grease traps as an alternative to pumping or flushing lines with chemicals, which did not remediate the grease and waste, but transferred it downstream to be dealt with. When grease trap maintenance is limited to pumping, the grease and other waste is simply transported, usually to a wastewater treatment facility. The transportation of the grease uses valuable energy in petroleum, and the wastewater treatment facility uses more energy to pump and treat the excess waste received. With bioremediation, the organic waste can be dealt with at the source, usually saving the restaurant or food service establishment money and headaches associated with a non-maintained trap. The complex wastes (oil and grease, protein, and starch) are broken down by natural microbes that secrete appropriate enzymes to render the organic pollutants into simpler, less polluting products. This will reduce the need of harsh chemicals to open sewer lines and reduce occurrence of SSO’s (Sanitary Sewer Overflows), which are health and environmental hazards to the community.

Many cleaning products contain environmentally unfriendly substances, such as ammonia and phosphate, which contaminate surface waters, as well as other possibly hazardous ingredients. As the world, in general, moves towards and demands more environmentally friendly options, we are able to have safer and natural ingredients to make effective cleaning solutions. Our goal is to provide cleaning alternatives that do not harm the environment, plants, or animals by using natural and biodegradable components and not adding excessive fillers that will clean just as well, if not better than, standard retail products.
